The diy smart tracking robot car kit is an introductory electronic kit designed to help kids or electronic, enthusiasts, and novices learn about basic electronics and other knowledge like soldering and simple circuits (photoelectric sensor circuit, voltage comparator, motor driving,ir sensor, C51 MCU). The smart kit is designed based on the principle of an infrared sensor and light reflectivity difference when the light is emitted on a white and black background. There is no programming involved and all of the soldering is beginner-friendly, making it perfect for budding electronic enthusiasts.

The assembly steps:
The first step: Basic soldering of the the circuit on the PCB.
- The welding sequence of the components from low to higher,
- eight resistors, make sure that the correct resistance is used in the correct positions.
- with polar components such as transistors, the green indicator light, electrolytic capacitors make sure that
the polarity is correct as indicated. The short leg is negative (-) and the longer leg is (+) this is also printed
onto the PCB,
- D4, D5 R13 and R14 can be temporarily left for later,
- make sure all solder contact points is soldered properly.
The second step: Mechanical assembly
- Insert the screw and connect the universal wheel into the PCB hole and tighten with the nut.
- Affix the battery box with double-sided adhesive tape to the PCB.
- Place the lead wire through the PCB reserved eyelet and connect to the PCB, the red wire (+) 3V
power supply. The yellow line ground (-).
- The wheels are on the black acrylic sheet. Please remove the protective film before the assembly.
- The wheels is fixed on the motor shaft with self tapping screws (black) and the silicone tire sets on wheels.
- Connect the motor wire lead and the wheel assembly with adhesive in position on the PCB,
Note keep sufficient clearance between the wheels and PCB edge.
The third step: Installation of optoelectronic circuits
- Photosensitive reseptors and light emitting diode (polarity sensitive) is installed on the PCB, looking
groundwards with a ground clearance of 5 mm, also the distance between the photosensitive
reseptor and light emitting diode is about 5 mm.
The fourth step : Vehicle debugging
- The battery box is 2 AA batteries, switch to the ON position, if you hold onto the left side of photosensitive
reseptor, the motor ON the right side of the wheel should turn, hold onto the right of the photosensitive
reseptor, the car to the left of the wheel should turn, if the car back can
exchange at the same time two motor wiring, if one side is normal other retreat, as long as the
exchange of back side of the motor wiring.
