The Cellswitch is a simplified mobile cellular phone that can be connected to an electronic appliance or device to enable you to communicate with it using your own mobile phone. You insert a pre-paid or contract sim card into the Cellswitch and communicate with it by sending it an SMS text message or by simply calling it, just like you would SMS/text or call your friend.
When the Cellswitch recognises your message or cellphone number it will respond accordingly, perhaps switching on a light, opening a gate or even switching on your irrigation system. And the output of the Cellswitch can be programmed to switch ''on'' the on-board relay, switch it ''off'', ''toggle'' it, or ''pulse''. In the ''pulse'' mode option the unit can be easily programmed with a duration of up to 24 hours, which means that, for example, an irrigation system can be switched on for a specific period and will then switch off again automatically.
A major feature of the Cellswitch is that it can be easily programmed via any on-line web browser.
Any standard sim card may be used with the Cellswitch.
How easy is it to use?
Any standard mobile phone communicates directly with the Cellswitch with easy to understand SMS text commands. The operator simply types an SMS text message with the words ''1234.On'' and sends it to the phone number of the Cellswitch and lights, geyser or irrigation system etc will switch on from any where in the world!!! Simply send ''1234.Off'' to switch off the appliance!
Connect a Cellswitch to a gate motor or garage door and call it. Access to the property or to open the gate for garden service is now possible without even being there.
The call is free as the Cellswitch does not answer the call but simply recognises the calling number and disconnects the call automatically. Please note that ''Caller Line Identification'' must be enabled on the senders mobile phone.
What about security?
The Cellswitch will ONLY respond to a number that has been programmed into it''s memory. Up to 500 numbers can be programmed.
The default ''1234'' security code (proceeding all text commands sent to the Cellswitch) is user defined to a more secure and easily recognisable code.
How easy is it to program?
Simply log onto the secure, easy to use website (https://cellswitch.accentronix.co.za), register as a user, register the Cellswitch by using the number of it''s sim card and follow the simple instructions.
This method is ideal for a body corporate, for example, to add and remove security access control cellphone numbers at security complexes (up to 500 numbers can be stored) and eliminates the need for individual remote controls to have to be issued to each resident. And each time someone moves in or out, the body corporate simply logs onto the website to add or remove a phone number.
How many different devices can I monitor and control?
The Cellswitch can monitor two different devices and control one, at the same time. For example, a Cellswith might monitor an alarm system and mains power, as well as open and close a gate.
When the alarm trips, it will send an SMS text message and call you, or up to 5 pre-programmed numbers to notify them of activation.
Installation of the Cellswitch is straight forward, requiring a fully regulated DC power supply of 12V (recommended), 5V min/15V max, with a current capability of at least 500mA.
An edge connector provides for connection of DC power, sensor inputs 1 + 2 and SPDT relay output (Common, N/O, N/C).

The Cellswitch can be further expanded by adding a Cellswitch Expansion Board, Order Code ACC01S. This provides for an additional 8 inputs and 8 outputs. Installation is simple and only requires the connection of a cable between the Cellswitch and the Expansion Board (supplied as part of ACC01S).
